About:
Each of the 30 Second Handheld Exposures is exactly as the title describes; long exposures during which I carried my camera, following fireflies, stars, and street lights on a hot summer night. These pieces came out of a desire to reconnect with basic discovery, to have my digital camera delay and reveal images; to use my camera the wrong way. In doing so they also exist as a recording; a document of a walk in my yard compressed down into a literal and yet unreadable map.
